Today’s picture: Yoyo balloon (yoyo tsuri)
At Japanese festivals they have lots of games you can play to win things like goldfish and toys. The picture below are yoyo tsuri, it’s like small balloons and rubber string at the end. The balloon also has a bit of water inside, so it’s like a small water balloon.
When you start the game you are given a string made of paper with a hook attached to its end. You have to try to use the hook to catch the balloon strong. It might sound easy but if the paper breaks off the hook it’s game over. So you have to be quick and try not to wet the string too much.
