This year is the year of the rat. It’s the first animal of the zodiac animals.
It’s the best time when I can buy sweet snacks from the Asian grocery because some items would be seasonal only, like the slice coconut and Nian gao . Nian gao is a sweet rice cake which is eating for the new years.
